value.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a great option if you\u2019re on a limited budget and are looking for blue switches, and it\u2019s surprisingly well built for the price.<\/p>\n<p>You actually get a lot of keyboard for a low price; solid construction, RGB options, good blue switches, small TKL footprint, and even claimed splash proof.<\/p>\n<p>This is a buy for someone who\u2019s looking to get into <a href=\"https:\/\/thegamingsetup.com\/gaming-keyboard\/reviews\/best-keyboard-gaming\">mechanical keyboards<\/a> without a huge investment, you can rest assured you\u2019re actually getting a true mechanical keyboarding experience with the Redragon for $30, it\u2019s quite a minimal design theme, the borders surrounding the keyboard are small.<\/p>\n<p>The measurements for the Redragon are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Length: 355 mm<\/li>\n<li>Width: 120 mm<\/li>\n<li>Height: 35 mm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This keyboard is a meat and potatoes keyboard, you get all the standard stuff without a lot of extra overworked functions or designs. The case is made entirely of a matte black plastic and is plenty sturdy for regular or even ragey gaming use.<\/p>\n<p>The backplate is actually made of a brushed aluminum and is what I would suspect is contributing to the weight of the keyboard overall.<\/p>\n<p>Overall the keyboard is rigid, no weak spots, well-built keyboard that I would say surpasses several keyboards that cost 3 times more than the Redragon.<\/p>\n<h2>Svi\u010devi<\/h2>\n<p>No switch choices here, the Redragon K552 comes default with a cherry mx blue <strong>clone<\/strong> switch, Oetemu variant. The switch performs as you\u2019d expect from a blue switch, tactile with an audible click.<\/p>\n<p>All blue switches typically have the same performance metrics, according to our <a href=\"https:\/\/thegamingsetup.com\/gaming-keyboard\/buying-guides\/keyboard-switch-chart-table\">big table of switches<\/a>, blues have a bottom out travel of <strong>4 mm<\/strong> and an actuation point of <strong>2\u00a0mm<\/strong>. Bottom out force being around <strong>60 grams<\/strong>. Key wobble is average and as stable or better than the <a href=\"https:\/\/thegamingsetup.com\/gaming-keyboard\/reviews\/logitech-g-pro-keyboard\">Logitech G Pro Keyboard<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/thegamingsetup.com\/gaming-keyboard\/reviews\/glorious-gmmk\">GMMK<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Keycaps<\/h2>\n<p>The Redragon\u2019s keycaps are probably the weakest part of the keyboard and where the budget price really rears its head.<\/p>\n<p>The keycaps are made of ABS plastic with pad printed legends. After some period of time of gaming the keycaps will start to shine and the legends will likely start to fade. This isn\u2019t unique to the K552 as a lot of other brand name keyboards will suffer the same fate.<\/p>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/thegamingsetup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/reddragon-keycapunder.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" data-ll-status=\"loaded\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>What\u2019s a little more disappointing is how thin the plastic used for the keycaps used is. It\u2019s definitely the thinnest I\u2019ve come across, the keycaps have several weak spots and flex very easily to some pressure. I\u2019m not too surprised, the Redragon I have is very solidly built.<\/p>\n<h2>Final Words<\/h2>\n<p>At sub $40 for the red backlit version the Redragon is a very legitimate entry way into mechanical keyboards.
