The Redragon Impact Elite M913 is a gaming mouse that is absolutely feature-packed.
The M913 comes loaded down with 12 different programmable macro keys, RGB, and tons of DPI adjustment settings.
Let’s take a closer look at this mouse.
The Redragon Impact Elite M913 is a gaming mouse that comes with a dozen different programmable keys to make gaming and mouse usage streamlined.
The M913 can be used through a wireless or wired connection which makes it very versatile and easy to take on the go.
The shape of the mouse makes it ideal for those who prefer to game with a palm grip. The sides are ergonomically shaped for your fingers and hand to rest comfortably on the mouse.
The RGB lighting is also great if you enjoy matching the colors with other elements of your setup, such as your keyboard or desktop lighting.
The M913 also comes with up to 16000 DPI and lots of adjustment levels for fast tracking and aiming in-game. The only downside to this mouse is it may be difficult to use for someone with smaller hands or those who prefer to use the claw grip.
The software is also required to access most of the features on the mouse which makes it a little cumbersome to setup.
Otherwise, this mouse can be a great option for most gamers out there.
In The Box
- Wireless Dongle: The mouse is connected through a wireless dongle which is super easy to setup. Simply plug in and go. I usually prefer this method to Bluetooth because it’s much faster to setup.
- Sticker: Redragon never fails to throw in a sticker when they ship out keyboards and mice. The stickers are always fun to receive. This sticker has the Redragon logo on it.
- Instruction Manual: The manual walks you through all of the preset settings and tells you how to connect your mouse via wireless and wired. For the RGB and DPI customization, they send you to their website to download the software.
The overall build quality of the mouse feels quite nice. It’s a bit on the lighter side, which is slightly disappointing. I generally like the mouse to have a bit of weight to it.
The mouse itself is pretty massive, it’s quite wide which makes it great for resting your hands on it. My wife tested the mouse herself but found it more uncomfortable to use because she has much smaller hands.
The mouse is ergonomically shaped so each of your fingers can easily rest on the mouse. This is a dream for those who use a palm grip. For someone who games with a claw grip, the shape discourages this type of usage.
I could definitely see some people absolutely loving the shape of the mouse while others would not like it. It just depends on which style of grip-age you like to use.
Overall, the mouse feels well-built and it doesn’t feel like it would break if you were to drop it or twist it.
The cable is also detachable so you don’t need to worry about it breaking because you can just replace the cable instead of the whole mouse.
Lots Of Programmable Buttons
The Redragon M913 Impact Elite comes with 12 programmable buttons that you can assign to certain tasks.
Having 12 different options is great because it allows for lots of customizability.
One potential downside to this is it could be difficult to click the correct button when gaming. All of the buttons are very close to each other and it’s easy to press more than once.
Some of the buttons have notches on them so you can feel where your fingers are currently placed at, which helps a lot.
There is also the rapid click button on top which allows you left click three times all with the press of a button. Perfect for when you need to spam left clicks in-game.
The scroll wheel is made from a nice grippy rubber material which makes it very satisfying to touch, but also easy to use without slipping.
On the top side of the mouse there are adjustable DPI settings so you can choose between several preset DPI settings to figure out which works best for you.
Perfect for changing the settings on the fly if you enjoy different sensitivities based on the situation.
You can also customize the DPI to a specific amount, but you’ll need to download the Redragon software.
You can find the software here. In addition, my computer flagged it as malware so I was a little hesitant to download.
It’s really nice to have so many DPI settings because I like to change it up based on what game I’m playing or what I’m using the mouse for.
The mouse comes integrated with RGB lighting so you can set the color of the mouse to match the rest of your setup.
The color really popped and looks great. The only downside is you can only use the RGB with the software.
You can’t turn on the lighting with onboard firmware, so you need to download the software. This makes the setup take a bit longer than I would’ve liked.
If Redragon had some better on-board firmware it would’ve made it much easier to setup and use.
The mouse is compable with Windows operating systems, specifically the following:
- Windows 10
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP
It would be nice if the mouse was compatible with Mac and Linux, but most PC gamers use Windows nowadays so I suppose it’s not too bad.
Perhaps in the future Redragon can expand their products to be more compatible with other operating systems.
But for now, the mouse only works with Windows.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the Redragon M913 mouse.
The M913 comes with a ton of different adjustment settings which makes it great for those who like to fiddle with the settings.
You can make the mouse very customized for your setup with the RGB and 12 programmable keys.
I would caution people with smaller hands or those that use a claw grip from buying the mouse. You may find it a bit uncomfortable.
For those with normal to large hands who like to rest their palms on the mouse, it’s super comfortable and easy to use.
Not to mention, the wireless connection is very convenient for when you want to take your mouse on the go or use it with a laptop.
The Redragon M913 Impact Elite is a really good mouse for the right person
